subconjunctival hemorrage question

Yesterday I woke up with a broken blood vessel in my eye, about 2mm  but very bright red. I had a little dull soreness around my eye all day accompanied by random sharper pains, mostly just annoying. But my whole head feels unusually lightheaded and numb and weak, though those are the only other symptoms. I recently have been working out a lot and thought it may have caused this, I also wear contacts everyday which I remove and clean at night. Is this something I should have looked at?

If your head symptoms are not gone by the time you read this, call your regular doctor.  The subconjunctival hemorrhage in itself is equivalent to a bruise on the skin and doesn't cause any problems (assuming your vision is OK and you have no eye pain).  You should make sure your blood pressure is OK and if you take blood thinners make sure your doctor is monitoring to make sure your blood is not too thin.
