subretina

Hello....My Opthamologist told me I have pigmentation on my subretina ( rpe / choroid )

Is this dangerous or increase chance of any eye cancer ?

Dr....I'm east indian....little dark skin...so would that be normal for me......isnt the choroid pigment.....so wont it have pigmentation there.

No, not normal, but also usually not a cause for concern.  The chance of cancer is about zero from pigmentation in the rpe.

No not a mole. Just pigmentation on the rpe/choroid. Is it normal to pigmentation there? So what is my chances of having eye cancer? Even if you have a mole there, isnt it rare to have cancer there?

It really depends on the type.  Yes.If he said you had a mole.

He didn't seem concerned. Just said I got pigmentation on the sub retina.  Does that increase my chances of eye cancer?

Probably nothing to worry about.  He would have gotten some tests if he was concerned.

Pigmentation is a very non specific term.
