sudden blurriness in one eye

Hello
Last week, while working on the computer, I realized that I could not focus properly. I assumed the problem was with my contacts, so I removed them and put on my glasses, but the problem persisted, with extreme blurriness in my right eye. I waited 2 days and since there was no improvement, I went to the ER where I was told that I had a viral keratitis of the R cornea and was given a prescription for Polytrim eyedrops to be used 4X a day. I was told my vision would improve in 3-5 days but after 5 days using the drops there has been no improvement. I decided to get a second opinion thru a doctor at a drop-in clinic. He tells me that he really does not see anything wrong with my eye, though there may be a slight abrasion.
I realize that you cannot diagnose the problem without actually seeing me, but could you tell me what might be causing the problem and how concerned I should be? With my glasses, my vision is 20/20 in my L eye, and about 20/50 or 20/60 in my R. I am not experiencing any other symptoms, although for about a week and half before this happened I was experiencing fairly extreme light sensitivity. I am not experiencing any pain in my eye, although at times it feels a little gritty. I do wear soft contacts (though I haven't worn them since the problem began) and I have stupidly fallen asleep while wearing them a few times the past month, so the original diagnosis did not surprise me, but why would the 2nd doctor not be able to see any problem and why is my vision not improving?
Sorry for the wordy question. Thanks very much for any advice you can offer.

do yourself a big favor and have an ophthalmologist examine your eyes   it is the only way to get your answer.  and do not wear your lenses until it is done. i am sure the answer is simple enough but see an ophthalmologist.  good luck.
