swelling in left optic nerve

swelling in left optic nerve

Just got back from the doctors office (Optomitrist) today and my blurred vision is caused by some swelling in the optic nerve.  I am wondering what you all think can the optic nerve be swollen from some medication?  One possibility is some recent medication I took for back spasms.  Medication is Orphenadrine 100mg.  I only took the medication for 5 days.  On the 3rd day I noticed some blurriness in my left eye about 25%, bottom right of my eye.  I stopped the medication 2 days later.  the blurriness continued to grow.  I have been off the medication for 8 days now and my vision in the left eye is bad, I would say that 75% of my vision is blurred.  I cannot think of any other reason for the blurred vision...

Thanks

Optic nerves swelling is Very Very serious. You need to see an eye MD opthalmologist ASAP. Some causes can be lifethreatening. Try and get in today as an EMERGENCY. Ask your family MD to help you get in quickly.
