swollen bottom eyelids

my daughter woke up this morning with both lower eyelids swollen.  no discharge or itchiness, just a slight discomfort.  she states she hasn't worn makeup since last Friday.  does not wear contacts or glasses.  It is both eyes.  top eyelids are not affected.  she has no allergies-she has had a complete allergy work up in the past.

Dear honeysgirl,

I would recommend that you take your daughter to an eyeMD to determine the cause of the swelling. It is possible that she has an infection of the eyelid margin and treatment would help.
