swollen eye glands

according to my eye doctor the glands in my left eye lid have swollen due to which the eye appears much smaller. he suggested hot compress. iv been doing it for past 4 days but it does not seem to work. what should i do? any ointments for reducing such swelling quickly?

Sounds like a stye or chalazion. Call or go back to the eye doctor that checked you first for a reevaluation.
