either my tear duct in the inner corner of my left eye is swollen or the immediate surrounding area on my upper lid is and it hasn't gone down for a couple days and moderately hurts (like a three or four on a 1-10 fine-crying scale) i think its getting worse and im somewhat worried about it.
If this is in the lid skin, it could be a stye. If it is over the skin on the side of the nose where glasses would sit, this could be an infection in the lacrimal sac called a dacryocystitis. Either way treatment might involve the need for antibiotic drops and/or pills, so I recommend that you see an ophthalmologist. In the meantime, start warm compresses.
