Dear Dr.
I just got back from the private opthalmologist office today. She used the eye drops, act the same as cocaine drops (it's called effredine, something like that) to test my eyes for Horner's syndrome since she can't even tell if I have droopy lid or not.
Before instill drops, she measured my pupil differences which is 0.5 mm,
She instilled 1 drop on each eye, had me waited for 30 mins then checked, both eye didn't dilate. She instilled 1 more drop on each eye, waited for another 30 mins, she checked, she said the eyes don't dilate. She looked carefully and measured the pupil difference and it's still 0.5mm difference.
She said the test didn't work; she doesn't think I need to go see a neuro-opthalmologist because she doesn't think I have a droopy lid and the difference in size is small. She told me to come back in 3 months for follow-up.
It's a never ending journey, I don't know why the drop didn't work on my eyes.
The funny think is , whenever, I'm out in the bright daylight, my pupils constrict back to regular/same size, pea size.
I don't know what to do next, should I just forget about the whole thing,
BTW, she mentioned that she thinks it's the bigger one that is the problem since in the room, the bigger one doesn't react to light that good, while the smaller one reacts to light really well.
