torn retna

I was dx with a torn retna and there is a peice floating in there and the eye doc said if it got worce i needed surgrey i have a pigment change in the right eye and every now and then i get a cloudy spot in the lower part of my line of vision....does that have to do with my torn retna? and is there something i can do from home to provent damage? i am diabetic and i wear contacts

1. I can't tell if its due to torn retina. Probably not. Ask your Eye MD
2. You can't do anything about the torn retina but you should lead a healthy lifestyle and keep meticulous control of your diabetes and weight
