treatment for occular migraines

I experience occular migraines bi-monthly.  They usually last for 30 minutes.  This has become a problem lately because I have a 2 year old who requires constant attention.  What can I do to eliminate or shorten this uncomfortable eye "spasm".  I live in fear that it will happen when I'm at the zoo etc.   Please help!

Theoretically the same medicines that work for traditional migraines should also work for ocular migraines.  Your best bet would be to see a neurologist who would be most comfortable in using these medications.  Good luck.
