treatment of corneal opacity

Sir, almost eight year back I suffered a cracker injury in my Left eye which has been diagnosed as linear corneal opacity.  The vision of my affected eye has deminished considerably.  On consulting a specialist, he told me that there is no treatment for corneal opacity.  From some source I have come to know that the same can be treated with lasik laser technology.  Please advise me further course of action to get my eye cured.

Get a second opinion from another corneal Eye MD. If he/she says the same thing accept it and do your best to protect the vision in the "good" eye.
