twitching of eyes

by meena555, Jul 02, 2008 06:21AM
My left eye twitches off and on (for a few seconds, around five times a day) for the past several months. The twitching is onset by a slight rubbing or wiping of my face (e.g. while washing the face) or if I raise my head or bend my head. My right eye keeps oozing a few drops of liquid off-and-on throughout the day. The opthal. says the oozing is because of eye stress. Any suggestions?

Use the search feature on this page and Google and search "Myokymia" the  most common cause of eyelid twitch.

The eye does not respond to stress with "oozing".
