unusual pupil reaction

unusual pupil reaction

I noticed my pupils are much larger than normal upon starting a new medicine, Geodon, and they are rather slow in reacting to exposure to bright light.  I get up in the morning and walk into the bathroom, cutting on light.  Looking in the mirror, I notice my pupils are enlarged, and rather slow to shrink down in size upon exposure to the light.  Is this a side effct of the medicine.

I am not familiar with that medication. Use Google and search the term, go to the home page of the manufactuer and read the possible side effects or merely ask the pharmacist that filled the RX of the MD that wrote the script.

I did a quick google search and saw some other people report sluggish pupils, yet drug trials showed no significant eye problems with this medication.

Thank you so much...things getting a little strange over here, and I didn't see that listed as a side effect in accompanying paperwork

Paperwork with this prescription did not mention this side effect.  Pharmacist saw no mention of it either.  My doctor changed my medicine to another anti-psychotic, and my pupils stopped getting large.
