using the under corrected number will further increase my myopia?

I have a high myopia (-4.5 for right eye & -6 for left eye) and had done laser for retina holes for both eyes. Recently I had problem in viewing distant objects I checked with my doctor  he gave me (-5 & -7.5) number glasses with which my vision is very clear. I also checked for retina he said its ok. With the new glasses i am having very bad headache and pains in the left eye. I again visited the doc he said due to the difference in the number between the eyes I am having this headche & pain. My Doc also advised my to use older glasses & said i have to compromise here in order to avoid headache & pain. Now with the old glass I am ok but my vision is not clear and Is there any possibility of using this under corrected number will further increase my myopia. Please advise. thank you.

No in fact the old glasses are less likely to cause you myopia to progress because when you do things at near like read or use a computer screen your eye does less work focusing.  Prolonged near work is one of the causes of myopia and progression of myopia.  There are several reasons the glasses might give you a headache. 1. the prescription is too strong. This can happen if the glasses test is done WITHOUT first dilating your pupils and relaxing the focus muscle.  2. the glasses may be fabricated wrong with the optical center outside your visual axis or the frames could be poorly adjusted causing pressure on your head and nose.

Thank you Sir. Actually I have checked the glasses with doctor and they are fabricated correctly and the vision is also very clear. Is it something the case of "Lazy Eye"? or should I try the glasses with another frame. Please advise. Thank you.
If the glasses RX is correct and the RX was ground on the glasses correctly then the other variables would include the frame and how the lens are mounted over the center of your pupil.  Also lens have what is called a "base curve".  When that is changed some people have trouble.  So if you want to try and stick with your new RX  you might discuss getting new frames similiar to your old frames and asking the optician to use the same "base curve" as  your old glasses. Since you have had trouble from the beginning you might ask about a large discount on new glasses since you can't wear the previous pair.
"Lazy eye" is not a medical diagnosis and should not cause a problem like this
