Dear J1989,

Redness may occur in the mucous membrane covering the white part of the eye known as the conjunctiva.  It may be related to infection, sun exposure, thyroid disease, allergy, or other causes. I would recommend that you see an eyeMD to determine its cause if it persists.

Like the veins under the skin on your arms and legs your body needs them and you should not try to get ridd of them.
