vision after PPV -3

vision after PPV -3

I am over 2 months after PPV now (gas bubble).  I initially had a lot of blood which has slowly subsided and been re-absorbed.  I still have blood left however as I still see dried blood coming off (very small pieces and dust like as well) that's still in the operated eye.  My doctor was intially worried that there is still a lot of blood in my eye.  BUt in my last visit, he siad that it has started to clear up good.  Now my vision is improving daily.  I can now see outlines of trees,  the road, colors, houses (when they are far).  But now, I can see closer objects (still little blurry) almost the same as the good eye but still little blurry.  Everyday I am seeing small imrpovements in my vision.  In one of questions to my Doctor previously, I asked him if my macula was intact and he said he believes it is.  I used glasses before my PPV (500/650).  But I however see a small area in my vision that is light gray/light brown that seems to be blocking my vision...it is not quite in the center of my vision but a little close.  The light gray/light brown area seemed to have gotten smaller as the blood has slowly gone away or re-absorbed.   Also, in the past few days (5 days) I am experiencing double vision.  I called my doctor's clinic to inquire and he said that this is a good sign since I am starting to see on the operated eye.

Im worried everyday about every little thing and at the same time glad about the small imrpovements that have been happening in my eye.  My questions are:
1) will the small area--light gray/light browm area that seems to be blocking my view go away?  is this dried blood still in my eye since I still see dried blood coming off in small pieces/dust like?  can this be removed or fixed if anything?

2) can the eye really take up to a year to keep improving its vision?  Isnt that too long though?  or would this be a bad sign already since a year is too long?  isnt maybe 3-6 months sound better or is it really different per patient?  Ive just read from research on this website that it could take that long.  Does that go for PPV with gas bubble patients as well?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Corks 100 I think you've asked some variation of that question several times.

1. I can't answer this questions only your surgeon can
2. You've had major eye surgery. Often the vision does not return to normal. Often multiple operations are required. You may not know the "final" result for 6-12 months. Realize that before this type of surgery eyes with the problem you have went blind.
