vision distortion even with eyes closed

A few weeks ago I had a C shaped line of distortion appear on the right side of my field of vision.  If I closed my eyes I could still see the line.  I did not move but was there even when I tried closing each eye seperately.  I just had it happen again, it lasts about 5 minutes and now I have a strange headache.

Use the search feature and look up "ophthalmic migraines" and "transient ischemic attack (TIA).  You need to see an eye MD ophthalmologist and a GP/FP or internist to rule out disease of the eye, brain, heart and blood vessels before ascribing this to an "eye migraine".
