vision problems

I had my daughter in October 2005, when see was 8 weeks old I started with severe smyptoms of Post natal Depression. I started medication of 40mg fluxotine for 8 months. When I fell ill i started having foggy vision and floaters, since then 2 years ago I still sufer with foggy vision at times and floaters- they really bother me! Sometimes i have flashes of lights and I am very sensitive to bright lights. I have had my eyes tested and all is ok, I am also over the Postnatal Depression but I still have the visio problems/distrubanaces- can you advise me of what this might be and how I might be able to have my old normal vision back ? Thanks

From the many posts on the two eye forums I gather it is very difficult to see specialists without waits of weeks to months, even in life threatening and sight threatening conditions. Sad indeed.

Perhaps your FP or GP can help you pull the right strings to get in to see a neuro-ophthlamolgist.

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately I do not live in the USA, I live in the UK. Do you have any suggestions on where I should seek medical help- or what specialist I need to see? The symptoms come and go, they are particulary bad when I am stressed and tired. Do you think it could be something serious? I never had these sypmtoms before I started fluxotine, however I have been off these meds for over a year now. Would be greatful for your opinion. Thank you

Anxiety and depression won't cause your symptoms. See an eye MD ophthalmologist, perhaps a neuro-ophthalmologist. If you live in the USA find one at www.aao.org
