weird vision changes

Hi eveyone
I have some vision changes in my right eye that are hard to explain.I am 41 and just been prescribed glasses for nearsightedness for the first time..age I guess For about 3 weeks my vision in my right eye feels slightly out and hazy. Nothing definate but just slightly against bright light and I can see a few floaters. Also if I am in a dark room and someone opens the door the light appears much brighter than it would normally and takes a while oto adjustI had a throrough eye exam and the optician found nothing wrong, no glaucoma, peripheral vision perfect and all other tests completely normal.  I took a nasty bang to the head in the gym just over 3 weeks ago  and had a few ice pick headaches for a couple of weeks after. Headaches gone by eye feels weird. I am wondering if the two are related. The doctor is a bit bemused and thinks it maybe stress of which I am under a lot of at the moment he has just prescibed strong dosage of ibuprofen to take down any inflammation related to the head injury.

If you were prescribed reading glasses you are not nearsighted. It you were prescribed glasses for distance (myopia) at age 41 then you could have an early cataract as developing myopia at 41 is very unusual.

I am not familiar with the training of an optician. In the USA  an optician makes glasses but does not examine eyes. If the optician is the equivilent of a non-physician limited eye care provider (optometrist) then I would suggest you see a physician Eye MD Ophthalmologist for an medical eye examination.
