This is a mistake made often on the eye care forum.

+1.00 is NOT your visual acuity. It is a prescription for a one diopter focusing lens. That number tells nothing about your visual acuity. With this lens your vision could be above average 20/15 or you could be legally blind < 20/200.

The + 1.00 could be a reading glass for a middle age person or it could be to correct farsightedness in a younger person.

A glass perscription has these variables:

Right Eye or Left Eye

Sphere: either plus (farsighted correction) or minus (myopia correction)
Cylinder: either plus or minus a correction in dopters for astigmatism (amount)
Axis: the direction the astigmatic lens is placed in the frame. Varies from 0 to 180 degrees.
Add: reading part for a bifocal type lens
prism: not used often move the image in the direction of the apex of the prism.

This is a glasses prescription:

RE  +1.00 + 2.00 axis 90 degree    Add + 2.45

This is a visual acuity:

20/20 with glasses    20/60 without glasses (distance).

37Db is a measurement of the sensitivity of you fovea, SITA and fastpac are testing procedures used with automated visual field testing.

Normally if the visual field shows any abnormalities the Ophthalmologist will discuss them with the patient.

also, can you tell me what is considered a "normal" cspd score?

i had SITA standard and fastpac and the results were different on each one ...

would the doctor have told me if there was any kind of problem?
