Hello, and thanks in advance for looking at my question!
I'm going to be 20 in a month and I've been spending a lot of time in front of the computer since I was very young. I've never had problems with my eyesight until five years ago when I got my first glasses. But it would be, I think, three years ago that I started experiencing dry eyes and soreness, and more and more blood vessels in my eyes started becoming visible.
This most recent issue, the one I want to ask you about, has been going on for some time, but up to now I've discounted it as a fluke, something that will go away, but now I'm worried. I can see, in my eyes, these small thin pieces of some kind of white substance floating on the surface of my eyes. It looks to me, which is why I'm so worried, like it might be small bits of the sclera that have melted away because I abuse my eyes so much. I can see them in both eyes but only on the outside of my left eye can I see a layer of this white film that looks like it's made up of a lot of bits of this white substance building up over time. It's on the edge of the eye, the one farther from the nose, where the two lids meet. This buildup appears quite often. I think it's usually when my eyes are dried up from using the computer a lot but I'm not sure since I've not been paying it much mind up to now as I was hoping it was just some kind of a fluke.
I would be very grateful if you'd answer this question for me because I'm really scared.
