white line of light in vision

hello everyone,

i have high myopia (5.25 each) and untreated retinal holes. over the last two months, i have began to experience a white line of light in my right eye as i move my eye from left to right.
everytime i move my eye from left to right or vice versa, the line appears at the opposite direction where i move my eye to look.
there are also pinpoint sized firefly-like lights that momentarily appears and disaappears in my central vision.
i had a retinal examination 2 weeks ago and doctor said nothing.

do you have any idea what is this?

Thank you for your answer doctor, I am gonna see my eyeMD as soon as possible.

But I still wonder how long this traction and symptoms will go on like this. If we put aside the possibility of a retinal tear/detachment, will they ever stop? or should I get prepared to live with these lights forever?

Thank you very much in advance.

This is due to viteous traction on the retina.  You need to see an EyeMD (ophthalmologist) If you also have the onset of floater.  You should also have periodic retinal exams.
