why do I roll my eyes without knowing it?

I was told today by my boss and co workers after a year. I roll my eyes. I never knew I roll my eyes in the first place. What will cause me to roll my eyes all this time? It is giving my customers wrong impression and about to lose my job since my boss or co worker never told me in the first place.

I have also been rolling my eyes without knowing since I was a young child and am now 20. I have been healthy throughout my life and have been told I have perfect vision at my eye appointments. If you say it could be a nervous tic or eye muscle problem, are thes dangerous? I’ve gone through my life fine without looking into it besides friends and family telling me I roll my eyes a lot. Basically, I just want to know if it’s a problem that I should look into or not?

I totally agree with your point. I know this type of problem because I meet many patients who suffer this type of problem. Eye rolling expresses disrespect. There you are making a reasonable request and your child responds with an eye roll as if to say, "You are so annoying." It's close to expressing contempt for what you've said, if not for you personally. Rolling eyes can quickly become a habit.
This is not dangerous to your eyes or vision.

see a Eye MD ophthalmologist. This could be an eye muscle problem or it could be a nervous "tic"

I'm 19 and I've been rolling my eyes unknowingly since I was 10, my mom always got mad at me for doing it but I didn't know when I was doing it. Any suggestions on what I should do?

1. Discuss it with your pediatrician  2. Have the pediatrician arrange for the child to see a Eye MD ophthalmologist. This could be an eye problem or it could be a nervous "tic"

It could be a "tic" or unconscious mannerism, it could be periodic nystagmus, begin by seeing an Eye MD ophthalmologist for an exam. If possible have your co-workers make a video of you doing in on your phone (assuming it records videos) and take it in to show the eye MD. In the usa find an eye MD at www.aao.org

Hi so I roll my eyes all the time without knowing it and it’s starting to get worse I’ve went to a eyes md ophthalmologist before and they said there’s nothin wrong with me or my eye so what should I do
Quite often this is a 'tic' or mannerism or nervous habit.   If it has been this way for many years not much you can do. If it is something new then see a 'neuro-ophthalmologist".
