would like to know about calcification of the cornea area of a type 2 diabetic

It seems that having dry eye and type 2 diabetes  causes the calcification of the cornea and using  something like refresh pm  is something that might  help with this situation

It's a little more complex than that.  An ophthalmologist in your area can help you to look into the underlying cause of your problem.  Yes, lubricants like good, preservative free artificial tears and lubricant ointments are generally a good idea, but you may need a more aggressive approach which might include punctum plugs, restasis drops, oral supplements such as flax and fish oil, identification and treatment of any contributing eyelid disorders, and looking into any oral medications, or systemic diseases  that may be worsening the situation.
