Hi. I also have xyanthomas on my upper eye lids. I have found that the size of the xyanthomas is directly related to the levels of my blood cholesterol. The higher the cholesterol level, the larger the xyanthomas. If I stick to a low fat diet and exersise daily the xyanthomas get smaller. I tend to think of it as a cheap test! No need to go to a drs. Every inquire I have made sounds painful, unnecessary and not worth it. Hope this helps. Regards, Cath 278
1. check your blood cholesterol. Its often high. Sometimes if you get blood fats (lipids) really low the skin xanthalasma get better. Removal involves "invasive" surgery.
