you are not alone

Hi I thought I was the only person suffering from this crosseye vision with no double vision. I have been suffering from this for about five years now and I have gotten the same responses you have.I do too have migraines and agtismatism on both my eyes. This has increase tremendously, I use to have them every once in a while and now almost every week. The sensation is like something pulls my eyes in giving the feel of being cross-eyed makes my eyes watery and definitely be dizzy after is has passed. I hope to find an answer.  I also get lots of dark floaters

This discussion is related to Sudden Cross-eyed Vision NOT double vision.

I've never had Botox and this happened to me

Most people that have this problem have not had botox. the last patient I saw in clinic today had the problem and it was due to diabetic complications affecting his eye muscles.

This is a side effect of botox injections that has been reported especially shortly after an injection. Your next stop should be to a neuro-ophthalmologist.  Maybe Wills Eye Hospital in Philly

I am 61 and have cervical dystonia on right side.  I have been doing "brain exercises" with my eyes to hopefully stop the dystonia from progressing.  My eyes crossed and stuck at the doctors office and he told me to put my head back and gargle, which worked.  Every time we attempt this exercise they lock and cross.  We have ceased the exercise.  Last week I was looking at a price tag and they did it involuntarily.  Could not get them unstuck.  Went immediately to eye dr who sent me to neurologist that day.  They both said they had never seen this before and ordered a mri that day which did not reveal any bleed, tumor etc.  They stayed stuck all day.  Now I do not wear my contacts so that I have to keep things at a distance so that I do not risk them crossing.  Last night, again, I looked at something too close and they crossed.  It took me 45 minutes to get them uncrossed.  I do have double vision when this occurs.  Neuro gave me muscle relaxant but think I need to see someone else.  Any advice?  I do have low bp and also get botox shots.

I am also suffering with this same problem. I am 26 and i do get migraines with aura but i do not have astigmatism in my eyes. I do however have Ankylosing Spondilytis and take Arcoxia and Sulfasalazine for it.
It happened to me one night this year randomly and has happened on rare occasion ever since. It is extremely concerning in case it happens when I'm driving.

I have had high blood pressure for my age so i was thinking it may have something to do with that?

I also work with computers all day too.

After the crossed eyed vision it leaves me with slight photo-phobia and my eyes feel fuzzy and they go blood shot.

This happened to me just a hour ago. I was driving and yes very dangerous. I was going 40mph and Thank God about to pull up to a stoplight, which the depth perception was way off. Almost pulled over immediately but it started going away while at the light was able to cover my right eye that seemed to be worse and drive slower to make it just up the road to home.  I have not had migraines in 33yrs nor do I have any health issues. I do have astigmatism in the right eye in which it feels that it happened too. Feel discomfort in that eye and temple now. Has anyone found anything out or heard of what it could be. I was very scared!!

For me, this just started when I got bifocals last year. My eyes crossed- but really it was more like wobbling around--they should have been rolling around, because that's what it felt like--but I asked and everyone said they looked normal. It makes me dizzy.

I see a few things that several of us have in common--I have astigmatism, I work with computers all day, and I read a lot. I also have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, but I don't take medication of any kind (an occasional tylenol), and I'm trying to control the HBP with diet and by natural stress relievers.

I find it more comfortable to take off my glasses while reading. I also am taking my glasses off while using the computer at work, even though I lose some clarity of vision.

I'm actually a little relieved that others are experiencing the same symptoms. It makes me feel a little more "normal".
