Any over the counter medication for Gout?

My mother has severe Gout at times.

I was wondering if there anything over the counter that can be recommended.

I've been looking on teh internet and I see are these herb supplements.

Will those help????

Thanks for your time

I am not aware of herbal remedies that help gout.

I cannot make any specific recommendations without evaluation.  You physician may suggest anti-inflammatories if there are no medical contraindications.

Prescription medications for acute episdoes would include prescription anti-inflammatories (i.e. Indocin) or colchicine.

Medication like allopurinol can be considered to prevent future episodes.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
