MY PARTNER HAS NO CHILDREN  HIS EX WIFE WAS UNABLE TO HAVE ANY AND LEFT HIM AFTER 25 YEARS OF MARRIAGE.   HE WOULD NEARLY LOVE TO BE A FATHER, BUT IS NOT WITH ME FOR THAT REASON.   HIS EX WAS INFERTILE BEFORE SHE MARRIED HIM AND NEVER TOLD HIM.  WE COULD HAVE GOT TO GETHER ALONG TIME AGO.   WHAT  IS THE CHANCES OF US HAVE A BABY TOGETHER

Your chances of getting pregnant and of delivering a healthy baby significantly decline as you age.  I don't know your age, but am assuming you are over 40 if you have a 26 year old child.  The history of sterilization decreases your chances even further.

Statistics from one US clinic show women up to the age of 30 had a 77% success rate after their reversal. For those between 35 and 39, this rate dropped to 62% and for those over 40, the success rate was only 34%.

A recent study in Human Reproduction looked at successful rates of delivery of a child after sterilization, comparing reversal of sterilization to IVF (in vitro fertilization).  The results showed that surgical reversal was a better option for women under the age of 37, and IVF was a better option for women over the age of 37.
If you are not getting pregnant with the Siphene in the next few months, IVF would be an option to consider (51.4% rate of successful births in women over age 37 post sterilization over 6 years in this study).  It can be financially costly, as well as possibly emotionally difficult, so you and your partner may want to sit down together and weigh the pros and cons.
