IV'S

I was in the hospital from the 1st to the 6th. I had only the one IV placed during that time. On the night of the 5th the nurse tried to insert some pain medication through the IV the vein started to bubble up and it ached so they stopped and went another way. It has been 3 months and I can still feel a marble in that area and that area and my hand ache. will it go away or should I be concerned?

Hi there,
it is difficult to tell without examining you, but it may be some scar tissue secondary to the IV, or subcutaneous fat.  If it is enlarging, you should see your doctor for further evaluation.
