MMR Vacine and Miscarraige(miscarriage)

Is it possible that an MMR vacine given during the first 3 weeks of pregnancy could cause a miscarraige (miscarriage). If so is there any medical articles to support this theory. My wife was given the MMR vaccine during the second week of pregnancy and had a miscarraige (miscarriage) during her sixth week. I need a medical doc stating that the MMR vacine could cause a miscarraige (miscarriage) if given to a pregnant women. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
My wife became pregnant in her second month (~1.5 months) after getting her MMR vaccine short. She was told NOT get pregnant till 3 months are over, but we could not stop it.
Anyway, We mentioned this to our OBGYN doctor, but she thinks it is not a problem as there is a gap of 1.5 month after taking MMR short. As a matter of fact, according to the Level-1 Ultra-Sound & blood tests she had so far, we heard no complaints about the growth of the baby or anything till now. By the way, she is in her 20th week now.
So, just to take a second opinion, we contacted another OBGYN doctor regarding this. She also said that it is not a good idea to get pregnant before 3 months after taking MMR vaccine. But on the other hand, she thinks that is it not a problem, if one gets pregnant after 2 months.
Can you please give your expert opinion on this? I would greatly appreciate you response.

I bacame pregnant one month after receiving an MMR vaccine. I learned afterwards that I should have waited 3 months after the vaccine to become pregnant. I have been researching the risks that my baby is in, but I can not find specific information. All I find is that "woman should wait 3 months to become pregnant because the baby is in risk of having birht defects". I would like to know more specific information to be prepared.

This thread is interesting to me because I also had an MMR vaccine  and found out i was 8 wks pregnant a month later. My OB/GYN warned me of a theoretical risk (but as of 1991 there had never been a documented case of birth defects due to MMR during pregnancy). All prenatal tests were normal.  My "MMR Baby" will turn 10 yrs old next month... perfectly healthy and remarkably bright.

My sister was pregnant and got an mmr at 6 weeks pregnant (she didnt know) then she took a pregnancy test and when she went for the ultasound the baby had no heartbeat. She lost the baby but got pregnant a few weeks later (although it might have been twins) because she had no dnc and the due date was only 18 day difference in the due date. The miracle baby was born beautiful healthy and adorable. She is sure the mmr caused the loss of the first baby though.
