Odor question

Hi there.  I'm 20 years old and I have an uncircumsized penis.  I seem to have a problem with the odor of my penis.  It gets a strange musky smell every so often.  Also, my urine seems to have a different smell sometimes.  I do get a very slight uncomfortable feeling in penis sometimes, but only rarely.  If you could give me your input that would be excellent.

Infection should certainly be considered.  A urinalysis should be done to evaluate for a urinary tract infection, or prostate infection.  If positive, antibiotics pills would be given.  A digital rectal exam by a physician can also be considered to evaluate the prostate.

Another consideration may be balanitis, which is an inflammation of the glans (glands) penis (the sensitive tip of the penis).  A bacterial or fungal infection can preciptitate this condition, and normally improved hygeine or topical antimicrobial or antifungal medications can be used to treat this.
