Poped blood vessel

Poped blood vessel

My 7-year-old daughter has been telling me that she hears a pop sound in her head then followed by a burning in her head. This has been going on about 4 to 5 weeks. I never really thought anything of it until this weekend when my daughters were playing in the living room and my 7 year old stop in her tracks and then dropped to the ground holding her head when I ask what happen she said it was that popping noise and it burns really bad. She has a silver dollar size strawberry birth mark on the back of her head that people tell me will go away and that’s about were the pain is at.

take her to her pediatrician

5 weeks of recurrent painful burning in her head, after a pop sound, is concerning.  Possibilities include migraine, AV malformation, infection, or other reasons.

I guess I never did ask the question. What I was wondering is does this sound like something I should be worried about or should I take her in to the Doctor does this sound like a blood vessel popping or something else?

blood vessels don't really pop. they can burst and that would cause immediate symptoms depending on where in the body it happened- a small one on your thigh might just look like a bruise... a big one around your heart will leave you in serious condition.

either way, as mentioned, this is something you should take seriously and see a doc.
