Symptoms after UTI....

I was diagnosed with a UTI 4 days ago and was on a 3day antibiotic that i took twice a day (Bactrim). Today is the 4th day, the first without taking an antibiotic. When I go to the bathroom it isn't painful when I go like it did, but I still have the urgency to go sometimes every hour. What is causing this? Should I give it more time to heal up? Or should I be worried?

There may be a chance that the antibiotic course wasn't long enough.  An additional 4 days (for a total of 1 week) may be of benefit.

There is also the possibility that the bacteria may be resistant to the antibiotic.  Obtaining a culture of the urine would be essential in ruling out this possibility.
