Tranfusion

Hello,

I'm scheduled for a blood transfusion early next week.  However, I have a problem.  On April 1st, I'm getting some blood tests done:

- Measurement of my blood zinc and vitamin B6 levels
- Measurement of my blood histamine levels.

For these tests, it is important that they reflect the situation my body is in and that they not be altered by the transfusion.

I'm wondering if the transfusion could cause some problems with this, and, if so, I'd like to know how long it should take for my blood to normalize so I can reschedule these tests, if necessary.

Thank you,
jrm.

I am not aware of a blood transfusion affecting the levels of these values.

If there is concern about the blood "normalizing", the lab tests can be repeated 1-2 months after the transfusion.
