Seen by doc i saw in hospital again ordered another mri that came back the same as the first one, sugested that i see new neuro and start again as cannot diagnose, plantar toe reflex still present, as there are only 2 neuroligists where i live my doctor and i have decided that i go to the mainland, i am unable to get in untill march and wondered if i could have lyme disease,as i live in australia and there is little kown about this could you please give me any sugestions, i have not had a rash that i can remember but about 2 months ago i feel of a stool and bruised tha bone above my ankle, this still hasnt completly healed and have noticed a unusual type of rash looks sort of square in shape not very big but clear middle and red on the outside also is sore to touch. My son was bitten by a tick a few moths ago no reaction but i know that they must be around the property. it has been sugested that there could be a psychlogical or stress related problem but i know that its not as i am a happy go lucky person but am getting frustrated at not being able to be diagnosed. thanxs again

Lyme disease is possible.  The best way to tell would be to obtain the appropriate blood testing for the disease.

As for other options - there clearly has been an extensive workup.   Many of the major diseases that can cause these symptoms have been ruled out.

I would continue down the neurological route.  Electrodiagnostic testing (i.e. with an EMG) can be considered to further evaluate the peripheral neuropathy.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
