lump on chest

my wife woke up this morning with a golfball size lump on her chest under breast we dont know what it is

Could be many causes.  Typically something that arises somewhat acutely could be an infected cyst - they can be painful and sometimes inflammed.  If this is the case, then it should be drained.  

If your physician doesn't feel it is a cyst, then further imaging should be considered - including a CT scan.  If it is a breast mass, then a mammogram and ultrasound should be considered.  

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

something that appears that fast almost certainly is infection; commonly something like an infected cyst of some sort. It out to be evaluated by her doc, it may need simple drainage.
