pain when yawning

what could cause pain from my right ear down the right side into the neck. sometimes it hurts to swallow. please help

A variety of causes can lead to your symptoms.

Infection is possible.  This can include an otitis media or externa, as well as possible sinus pressure or infection.

Musculoskeletal causes like TMJ syndrome can lead to discomfort in that area as well.

An evaluation by your personal physician can be considered to evaluate for these possibilities.
