qualatative bloodtest

I am currently 8dpo. this morning (cycle day 24) I did an hpt and saw a very faint line and others saw it as well. I called my doc who ordered a qualatative bloodtest with progesterone levels as well. The hcg came back less then 2 however my progesterone was 19.1. the nurse said that was high to not be pregnant and to assume I was over the weekend and retest on monday if I were still getting a line on hpts. what do you think my chances are of really being pregnant. I do charting, temping etc and my temps have been rising with the exception of a dip yesterday to 98.2 and then a rise today to 98.9. what do you think my chances are? thanks

It is difficult to give exact probabilities whether you are pregnant or not.

The earlier the test is run after fertilization, the less accurate it will be - approximately 79 percent 2 days prior to a missed period, to 100 percent 11 days after a missed period.

The serum HCG test is normally positive 7 to 11 days post ovulation.

The only way to be sure would be to repeat the tests in a few days, to see if the HCG is appropriately rising.
