If there continues to be bleeding, a referral to an oral surgeon should be considered for further evaluation.

There are many things that can cause excessive bleeding.  First, ensure that you are not on medications that can cause this (i.e. Motrin/Advil, blood thinners, aspirin).  Blood tests evaluated clot time and platelet count can also be considered to see if there are any bleeding disorders present.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
