It’s very common to struggle with scars and hyperpigmentation, and there are a few things I can suggest.

First, wear sunscreen to prevent them from worsening. You live in Florida where the sun is strong, and this could make your current scars get darker.

Second, keep your skin moisturized. There isn’t great evidence that creams with Vitamin E work, but I’d recommend daily moisturizing (using coconut oil is my personal choice).

Third, applying silicon gel sheets to the scars daily for several months may help them fade. You can buy these at a pharmacy and online

Fourth, if any of your scars are raised, your doctor may be able to inject steroids into it to help it decrease in size.

Finally, there is also the option of laser treatment of the scars. This would be more expensive, but you could talk with your doctor about that option.
