my 57 year old father died from a burst AAA afew years ago. he was complaining of pain in his stomach so went to his doctor. he was sent for a scan and was told that everything was normal and that his pain was more than lickley the result of him sitting down at his desk all day. so that was good enough for him and his mind was put to rest. two weeks later he developed servere stomach pain so i called the doctor out to see him. he told me that it was probably a renal infection and prescribed antibiotics. after the doctor had left my fathers pain became much worse so i called the emergency services. 1 hour later they arrived and sent him off to hospital but he died on arrival 15 mins later.
so much for scans!!
