Adhesions from injuries

by Jenny2155, Jul 28, 2009 01:16PM
I have had a hysterectomy 5 years ago. I always had very hard periods. Started Mestruating at 12. I have had 2 children with very difficult delivery for one. I have had pelvic injuries that have left me severley bruised at age 10, then age 21, then again in my early thirties. I am now 53 years old. My gyn. informed my family and I it was impossible to remove my ovaries due to enormous amounts of scar tissue. Due to my type of insurance it is difficult for me to get a gyn to accept me as a patient.
The only thing I would like is a check under the hood to make sure my pain is not due to cysts or possibly something worse. It has been almost 4 years with no recheck.
I feel for anyone who gets severe pain from the ovaries or adhesions. Although my pains are not as bad as some, it still causes interuption in my life.
My question is, can all the adhesions make me have such a fallen abdominal or pelvic area that I can do nothing physically myself to fix it.?  It hangs quite low while standing, yet seems to almost flatten while I lie on my back. What is my alternative, if any?

I am going to post a link to our Women's Health Forum, I feel they will be able to help you more than I can. Here is the link:  http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Womens-Health/show/81
Good luck, I hope you will be able to find some answers and a caring doctor, it seems so many are cold and just rush a person through, it is not right.
