Allergic to bee stings

by BHeishman, Jun 24, 2009 04:15PM
Couple days ago I was stung by a sweat bee, after about 10 minutes my throat started to close, cold sweat, started to get sick, and body stared to shake.  I called for an ambalance, they put a breathing tube down my throat, and they took me to the hospital.  When I w on the phone with 911 dispatcher, they told me not to put ice on the swelling.  I thought ice is used to controll swelling.  Before I called 911 I had put an ice pack(not chemical) on the swelling.  What should I have done before me calling 911?  The Hospital told me that I am now allergic to bee stings.
