BV

Dear women,

I am a woman of 26 years old. A year ago i had my first time sexual intercourse and after that i have been having problems. Been having burnings during urination and burnings in the area down. Been to the doctors 3 times and they gave me medication for yeast but never helped. I never had sex anymore nd some days ago finally i found a good doctor who after gettin a sample of the vaginal discharges checked it immediately in the microscope and didnt see any yeast but told me bacterial vaginosis and put me on antibiotics for a week. I want to ask if any other woman has gone throught the same problem as i am,can a doctor diagnose that it is bv once checking under the microsope or has to make a culture? Can BV go for ever or i will have it for the rest of my life? Can it affect the fertility?
Pls if someone has had the same problem i would like any comments coz im freaking out.
Thank you
s.

Bv is a very common vaginal infection and is treated with antibiotics alone. It is diagnosed under a microscope. Don't worry it won't stay with you and will get better after antibiotics
