Bleeding during sex

I too was bleeding during sex. How embarassing it was to me. I was not enjoying sex. I felt he wasn't enjoying it as much. Doctors also couldn't find anything wrong with me. They just told me my cervix was irritated. However, I was also on the pill. I have recently stopped the pill and the bleeding is no longer occurring. Is it possible that taking the pill somehow caused the bleeding?
