Burning Mouth/Tongue

by topdawg25, Feb 09, 2009 02:28PM
I stopped taking Biaxin on Jan 28 and since then on or about Feb 2 the front of my tongue felt like it was burnt by a hot liquid. Since then the burning is gone from the front and now I get burning every now and then but the sides of my tongue from front to back feel thick and numb, like my tongue is swollen. Also, if I drink coffee the sides and part of the middle part of my tongue goes the color of the coffee and will stay like it for days, even after brushing and mouthwash and looks a little bumper than the rest, as well the are patchs in the middle where my tongue is smooth with no taste buds. I can get relief by chewing gum or drinking cold liquid.

My question is; Do you think that I have thrush or some other infection due to the use of the Biaxin. If so is there a quick way to relieve the discomfort nd cure my issue?
