I went to the doctor on Friday, had symptoms of feeling drunk and spells where I feel as though I am going to pass out. Also have been extremely tired lately. I was diagnosed several months ago as being anemic. Doc took blood run CBC while I was there and said I wasnt anemic. Well, got results from other blood work back this a.m. and my iron level is only 17 (normalNormal saline flush range is 35-155) Question is, if my iron is so low, why I am I not anemic. I thought low iron was the leading cause of anemia.
