Itching

Several months ago my neck (in the front just by the voice box) started itching all the time. There was no rash or redness. It just itched. That lasted on and off for several months and then quit. Now my right hand on top itches in one spot, again with no rash or redness. It happens several times through out the day and has been going on for a month or so. Not sure what it going on. I tried various things like not putting on lotions or perfumes to see if that caused the problem but it remains the same no matter what I do. What else could be causing the problem?
