Its 2009

by Ep1s0d3, Jul 23, 2009 05:15PM
well all these people are discussing what i also feel! I have also seen everytone take similar tests and have dismissed most of people own diagnosis as though it was my own.

I believe that the feelin the woozy, dizzy, tired feeling that everyone here is getting is simple and its called Stress and Depression.

Depression is something that creeps up on us all well not all but some of us, and to be totally honest it has 1001 symptoms on the body mainly the dizzyness, woozy, or drunken feeling, i will post some symptoms below.

You feel miserable and sad.
You feel exhausted a lot of the time with no energy .
You feel as if even the smallest tasks are sometimes impossible.
You seldom enjoy the things that you used to enjoy-you may be off sex or food or may 'comfort eat' to excess.
You feel very anxious sometimes.

STRESS
------------------

periods of irritability or anger
apathy or depression
constant anxiety
irrational behaviour
loss of appetite
comfort eating
lack of concentration
loss of sex drive
increased smoking, drinking, or taking recreational drugs
There can also be physical effects, which may include the following:

excessive tiredness
skin problems, such as eczema
aches and pains resulting from tense muscles, including neck ache, backache and tension headaches
increased pain from arthritis and other conditions
heart palpitations
feeling sick
stomach problems
for women, missed periods

Anxiety
-----------

Smothering sensations and shortness of breath
Racing heart, slow heart beat, palpitations
Chest Pain
'Lump in throat' and difficulty swallowing
Blanching (colour loss in the skin)
Excessive Perspiration (sweating)
Shaking or shivering (visibly or internally)
Pain or numbness in the head, face, neck or shoulders
Rapid gastric emptying
Indigestion, heartburn, constipation and diarrhoea
Sexual Dysfunction
Symptoms of urinary tract infection
Skin rashes
Weakness/tingling in arms, hands or feet
'Electric shock' feelings (anywhere in the body)
Dry mouth
Insomnia
Nightmares
Fears of going mad or losing control

Sadly this is just some of the issues but put them into a bottle like your own head which is where they like to nest, and you have a catastrophy major problems.

I have been suffering with depression, and i huff an puff alot, feel empty, feel emotionless like i dont really care what happens and when it does i shrug my shoulders and say ah well or have the attitude **** it  I feel tired, alone, i get the drunk feeling or i start worrying more and thinking that something is seriously wront with me.

I feel a pressure on the top of my head, like its tense, as if i could massage it away, and when i go out for walks in the town and come home i hear alot of ringing in my ears, tinitus sound which disappears over time.

Truth of the matter is, i think this is what alot of you suffer with, and if you do its depression, or a mix of anxiet and stress put together.

What i hate is i no longer feel happy, nothing makes me happy, everything is like oh well, and i dont have a drive in life to do anything no get up and go..

About 1 month ago when we had nice sunshine, and i was out doing a new hobby to occupy my self, i felton top of the world, my head felt 100% i felt normal again.  I thought it was the vitiamin tablets i was taking but anyhow.  I suppose once your in a rut of doing nothing all day you soon parish.

PEace all..

This discussion is related to been feeling woozy, like partially drunk, eyes also feel funny..

Excellent post, I have almost ALL these symptoms, and I agree, I feel a lot of today's problems are due to all the above. Unfortunatley, most docs don't recognize this and they say it is all in our head, I say not true, not true at all, stress, anxiety and depression takes it toll on folks. I have a journal all about anxiety symptoms, you or anyone else might like to see it, it is amazing what stress, etc can do.

I take extra vitamind, minerals and stress calming herbs, sometimes they help, sometimes not. I also have tried B-12 shots, they are great, but, when they wear off, I usually feel worse. It is something we all have to deal with in our own way daily, and for me, being a Christian, I try to rely on the Lord, sadly, I don't do too well at times.

Thanks for the informative post, I hope it helps others. You know, you might also want to post it in our anxiety forum, here is the link to it: http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Anxiety/show/71 Here is the link to our stress forum: http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Stress/show/162 Here is the link to our depression forum: http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Depression/show/57 I think the post would do well on all three. :-)
