Low Iron

I recently was diagnosed with anemia..by lab results from bloodwork.  I then was given the occult test which came back negative, and also had a follow up ultrasound of two fibroids I have which also came back as an undertermined cause of the anemia.  My question is - should i seek a GI specialists even though I recently had new tests ran and although still low, most areas are improved within a two month span.  The only change I made was now I take an iron supplement...
